The Town of Brownsburg Parks is grateful for our volunteers' hard work and dedication to improving our parks and facilities. Each April, the Park Board recognizes and celebrates every person and organization who volunteered with our organization during the following year.
Our department relies on volunteers to help complete major projects and assist in event management and park stewardship. In 2022, we welcomed over 400 volunteers who put in 1,873 hours, saving $56,096 in department labor.
In honor of the hundreds of volunteers who supported our community this year, we are sharing some of the ways volunteers have had a lasting impact on our community by enhancing Brownsburg's quality of life.
Park Stewardship Volunteers
Park stewardship volunteers assisted in managing the 300+ acres across our parks. By removing trash and invasive plant species, volunteers made a difference for the land in our parks by creating more healthy spaces.

Building Projects
An essential group last year was our volunteers for Blast Off Playground renovations. Last year, volunteers renovated the 22-year-old play structure over five days and installed new play features, replaced the lumber with recycled plastic material, and painted the structure.
