Team cleans trash from Brownsburg waterways

This Earth Day, bring the whole family for a community clean up! Volunteer to remove trash throughout Brownsburg or remove invasive plants from Williams Park.

After cleaning local parks, trails, and Town areas, we’ll celebrate by creating a mural with recycled items found during clean up. Trash bags and pickers will be provided.

Event Schedule (9 a.m. - 1 p.m.):

  • 9 a.m. - Teams meet at Williams Park to pick up materials and receive safety instructions.
  • 9:30 a.m. - Trash clean up teams go to assigned areas and remove trash or invasive plants.
  • 10 a.m. - Invasive plant species teams (Weed Wrangle) go to Williams Park Splash Pad area for clean up.
  • 11:30 a.m. - Teams return to Williams Park to deliver trash bags to the National Art Honor Society. Teams can help create a recycled art mural and learn about animal habitats through a demonstration from our Park Naturalist.

This event is in partnership with the Hendricks County Partnership for Water Quality and State of Indiana Cooperative Invasives Management.

Individuals, churches, civic, community, and neighborhood groups can register for the event online. Teams must be registered by Monday, April 17.
