National Night Out enhances the relationship between neighbors and law enforcement while bringing back a true sense of community. Furthermore, it provides a great opportunity to bring police and the community together under positive circumstances. The Brownsburg Police Department and select areas celebrate the first Tuesday in August or October. The Brownsburg Police Department will be celebrating National Night Out on Tuesday, October 4th from 5:30-7:30PM at the Brownsburg East Middle School located at 1250 Airport Road.
Our focus is this year is “Family & Their Mental Health”. With over 75 vendors, we have several organizations that will be providing helpful information on mental health and counseling. Officers will be handing out finger print kits for all families.
As part of our partnership with the Brownsburg Community School Corporation, the BHS Performing Arts class will be providing the entertainment on the stage and performing music from their fall musical – “Mamma Mia”.
Flapjacks, Sertoma, Jack’s Donuts, Ploughes Towing, Porter’s Towing and Coca Cola of Indianapolis will provide free food & beverages.
Activities for the family include:
- Emergency Equipment displays by Brownsburg Police, Brownsburg Fire, Hendricks Co Sheriff’s Dept., Indiana State Police
- Large inflatables from Moonwalk for kids and adults, provided by Porter’s Towing, Central Indiana Police Foundation and Bill Estes.
- Several vendors will have games, prizes and handouts
