The following are submitted questions:
Q: I am concerned that there is not enough money to staff a new fire station #134 but we could spent millions on building & moving #132 just 2 miles south. Doesn't make sense to me. I also don't recall being told at the 7/8 mtg that citizens were invited to leave comments about this.
A: The Brownsburg Fire Territory currently does not have the funding to pay for the additional employees and associated cost required to open and operate a fourth firehouse; without additional revenue sources we cannot accomplish this project. However, the Brownsburg Fire Territory does have the funding in place to pay for the station 132 relocation project. Our current revenue sources support the current staffing levels and associated cost of operating station 132. Although the cost of building a new fire station is several millions dollars, the impact to individual taxpayers would be minimal because all that is required to accomplish this project is to build a new station 132.
