What to Expect at the Christmas Under the Stars Parade

Posted on December 7, 2021 at 7:59 AM by Shelby Abner

An annual Brownsburg tradition, Brownsburg’s Christmas Under the Stars parade is the place to kick off the holiday season! This magical nighttime parade features beautifully decorated floats, plenty of lights, and even a jolly special guest!

Mark your calendar for December 4 at 6 PM. This year includes new traditions and fun at the Yuletide Festival at Connection Pointe Church! Here are all the details for this holiday evening parade.

Brownsburg Blitzen 5K Run

On December 4, start your morning by participating in the Brownsburg Blitzen 5K at Arbuckle Acres Park! Can you find Blitzen along the course? This combination course includes paved trails and dirt trails. There is also a virtual option for those looking to run or walk at their own pace.

The cost is just $30 for adults and $15 for kids. Registration is available online; all finishers will receive a medal.

Christmas Under the Stars Parade Route

The Christmas Under the Stars parade begins promptly at 6 PM at Brown Elementary School. It then turns north on Eastern Ave. to Main St., west on Main St. to N. Green St., and finally north on N. Green St. to Enderly Ave.

The best viewing area for the parade is along Main St. or Green St. Candy will be tossed to the curbside, so do not run into the street.

Parade Floats

There are over 20 floats in the parade! Floats are decorated with twinkling lights, ornaments, and even a little glitter! Share your favorite float with us by using the hashtag #brownsburgparks!

Be sure to stay until the end of the parade to see Santa!

Local Business Holiday Open Houses

It’s not a parade without sweet treats! Sweet Paige’s (405 E. Main St.) will have free samples, coffee, spiced cider, and giveaways! BRU Burger Bar (5724 N Green St. Suite 100) will be selling pretzels, hot chocolate, and coffee.

Brownsburg Parks Administrative Office will open at 5 PM for free hot chocolate and candy canes.

Head to the Yuletide Festival After the Parade

Visit the Yuletide Festival at Connection Pointe after the parade for festive activities including a tree lighting, photos with Santa, a petting zoo, ice skating, and a drive-in movie (Polar Express)!

Additional fees are required for some activities.
